Introduction:
seminar on
‘Accreditation for Hospitals’ at our Academy in the capital to create awareness
about accreditation of hospitals among medical professionals in India, to
thereby create a healthy India and brand the country as a Medical Tourism
destination.
The seminar
will be emphasized on the need for certification in every aspect and procedures
of hospitals such as cleaning, quality of staff, employee qualification,
expertise and medical equipment et al and stressed that accreditation process
should be voluntarily done and not mandatory.
According
to organizers, accreditation increases the standard of hospitals in India and
supports them to provide world class treatment to patients which will gradually
boost Medical Tourism in India. He added that that there are two types of
patients coming to India under the Medical Tourism category. One are the
self-pay patients who choose hospitals on their own and the second category of
patients select hospitals through their agency or third party. For bringing
both categories of patients, accreditation of hospitals is must as it
symbolises branding of hospitals and also enhances hospital value and
reliability.
The overwhelming response that we
received for the recent seminars conducted in the critical areas of Healthcare
Management like HR in Healthcare, Customer Care in Hospitals and Materials
Management for Hospitals, topical seminar in Hospital Management and the
resultant learning have come as a major boost and encouragement to us to
conduct this highly topical and need of the hour seminar on The SN Academy
