சென்னை சங்கர நேத்ராலயாவின் தலைமை அமைப்பான மருத்துவ ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் சகோதர அமைப்பான பார்வை ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் அங்கமாக 1993 ம் ஆண்டு “உயிரணு மரபியல் ஆய்வுக்கூடம்” ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இன்று அந்த ஆய்வுக்கூடம் வளர்ந்து மிகச்சிறப்பான அனைத்து வசதிகளையும் உள்ளடக்கிய  மூலக்கூறியல் மற்றும் மரபியல் துறையாக (Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology) வளர்ந்து கண் மரபியல் துறையில் உலகத்தரத்தில் பல்வேறு ஆராய்ச்சிகளை நிறைவேற்றி வருகிறது.

மரபியல் ரீதியான கண்நோயகளுக்கு காரணமான மரபணுக்களின் தொகுதியினை ஆராய்ந்து, தலைமுறைகள் ரீதியான ரீதியாக பகுப்பாய்வு செய்து, ஒரு நோயாளியின் மரபியல் கண் நோய் எவ்வாறு அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட நோயாளியின் மரபணுக்களோடு தொடர்புடையதாக இருக்கிறது என்பதையும் ஆராய்ந்து, அந்த மரபணுக்களின் செயல்பாட்டு பண்புகள் மூலம் அந்த நோய் செயல்படும் விதத்தினை மரபணு கட்டமைப்பாக வெளிக்காட்டுவது இந்த துறையின் சிறப்பு அம்சமாகும்.இந்த துறை இருபது வருடங்களைக் கடந்த நிலையில் மேலும் கற்றுக் கொள்வதற்கும், கற்றுக்கொண்டவற்றை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் விதத்தில் ”எஸ்.என். ஜெனெடிக்ஸ்” என்ற தலைப்பில் கருத்தரங்குகளை நடத்த முடிவு செய்து “மரபியல் ஆலோசனை மற்றும் மரபணு பரிசோதனை”எனும் தலைப்பில் ஒரு நாள் கருத்தரங்கினை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது.

இந்த ஒரு நாள் கருத்தரங்கின் முக்கிய நோக்கம், மருத்துவ மாணவர்கள், ஆய்வியல் மாணவர்கள், அறிவியலாளர்கள், மருத்துவர்கள், ஆலோசகர்கள் மற்றும் மருத்துவத்துறை சார்ந்தவர்களிடையே மரபியல் ஆலோசனை மற்றும் மரபணு பரிசோதனை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வினை மேம்படுத்துவதே ஆகும்.

 

இந்த கருத்தரங்கின் முக்கிய சிறப்பு அம்சங்கள்:

Healthcare administration professionals shower praise on Sankara Nethralaya Academy’s “Certificate Course in Hospital Management”

 

The event was conducted to present Certificates to the fifth batch of successful candidates of the “CERTIFICATE COURSE IN HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT”.

 

About 16 professionals serving in the Health care industry at various levels had enrolled in this course to hone their administrative and technical skills in the workplace.

 

12 weekend certificate program in Hospital Management conducted by the Sankara Nethralaya academy, an education wing Sankara Nethralaya & a unit of Medical Research Foundation passed out successfully on 23.11.2013

 

The participants of this course belonging to mid and senior level management positions from a broad spectrum of health care institutions ranging from single speciality to multi-specialty hospitals found the course to be of great relevance to their vocation in terms of enhancing their skill sets, equipping them to handle direct and related healthcare issues and to organize their departments much better.

 

While the course won overall praise for its holistic approach to hospital management, in-depth, wide and well researched content and professional levels of tutoring by the faculty, TSNA staff members won praise and admiration for their efforts in making the entire learning experience very pleasant and memorable.

The Sankara Nethralaya Academy (TSNA), a unit of Medical Research Foundation, is offering a certificate course in hospital management.

The course is open for individuals in the supervisory or managerial positions in hospitals and related health care institutions. The course duration is 12 weekends (Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m.) at Sankara Nethralaya Main Campus, College Road, Nungambakkam

The course is designed to increase the overall understanding of management issues and concepts by mid-level and senior managers to help them make well–informed decisions.

It will also improve leadership quality and equip them with effective team building techniques.

The course draws from the rich, real-time experiences of Sankara Nethralaya in hospital management and the latest managerial techniques from the subject experts and aims to prepare individuals in supervisory or managerial positions in the health care industry to become more effective in their work.

The TSNA’s next session (sixth batch) course commences on 18^th January 2014. The last date for submitting the duly filled in application form is December 15^th 2013.
